JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Perform welding from various departments with help of welding torches and arcs.
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Analyze defective equipment and identify appropriate defective equipment and inform supervisors.
- Administer various components and perform welding of clamps, holding and bolts according to specifications.
- Manage work with help of manual welding machines and melt metals for various processes.
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
- Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to perform defect work.
- Replace new and fabricate parts as per required.
- Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look.
- Maintain disc grinder and perform all cleaning and grinding of metals.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from high school, vocational school, recognized craftsman.
- Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
- Proven experience as welder.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- At least five (5) years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades including knowledge of and ability to use tools materials and methods.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
- Current welding certifications.
